This seal was kept on King George V’s desk at Buckingham Palace and is thought to be the one he purchased from the London branch on 28 October 1912 for £19. It consists of a handle of polished nephrite with red and yellow gold, diamond and ruby mounts in the form of a band, from which swags of leaves centred by a rose are suspended. The handle is mounted on a base of red and yellow gold in the form of an entwined dolphin. The gold matrix is engraved with the crowned cipher of the King.
