A watercolour distant view of Plas Newydd, the country seat of the Marquess of Anglesey, overlooking the Menai Straits and the mainland. Signed and inscribed: "W Lawrence Banks" and "Plas Newydd".
Banks, a landscape painter, was a founder member of the Royal Cambrian Academy of Art in 1881.Provenance
