A watercolour portrait of King George III, shown 1/2 length, head turned to left; wearing hat and red coat with epaulettes, and a star of the Garter. Mounted with a slight sketch of a facade, on the verso of which is an inscription in an early hand, reading: 'George the Third / Drawn by A R Burt from / the original Picture / painted by Sir Wm Beechy / RA painter to his Majesty. / May 1st 1809 / N.B. this is the last Portrait the King ever sat for.'
