A watercolour view of the interior of the Tornabuoni Chapel in Santa Maria Novella, Florence. The view shows the Ghirlandaio frescoes, choir stalls and a figure of a monk. Signed. It would appear that this watercolour was previously in an album. The presence of another, almost identical, watercolour interior view of the same chapel (signed "Mednelli; RCIN 450200) in the Royal Collection and similar versions sold at auction in 1985 (Christie's, 28 November, lot 77, apparently signed "Marrani"), 1986 (Christie's, 27 November, lot 106, by A. Marini) and 1988 (Christie's, 24 November) suggests that this composition was likely a popular one with tourists visiting Florence in the late nineteenth century.
