-
A watercolour showing a series of small buildings by the loch side, with high hills on the far side of the loch. The Queen and Prince Albert were lent this shooting-box by the Marquis of Abercorn, and stayed there from 21 August to 17 September 1847. The Queen and Lady Frances Jocelyn, who was in Waiting, sketched together when the weather permitted. Lady Canning made a private visit to Ardverikie in 1849 during which this watercolour and RCIN 920207 were made.
