A watercolour showing a view of the Tapestry Drawing-Room. Signed and dated.

Known as the Centre Room, it opens onto the balcony of Buckingham Palace. Later alterations included removing the tapestries and the carved swags on the walls. The Queen described the small sitting room as 'also furnished with things from the Pavilion, - all arranged according to my dearest Albert's taste (Journal, 10 June 1849). The water-lily chandelier made by William Perry came from the Music Room in Brighton Pavilion. The decorated shutters have now been placed in panels of the door. The sofas and chairs came from Brighton, as did the pagodas and porcelain vases.
