A watercolour of a topographical interior view of the 1844 Room showing in detail the various furnishings, works of art and objects d'arts within. On the right-hand wall hangs William Corden's copy after Franz Krüger's portrait of Nicholas I of Russia (RCIN 406751); the copy was painted for Queen Victoria in 1848.
This watercolour was mounted in one of Queen Victoria's Souvenir Albums.Provenance
Roberts was paid 14 guineas for this watercolour and RCIN 919918 in 1850 (Royal Archives Add T 231/161).
