A watercolour showing the town and church on the far shore of Loch Fyne, looking north. There are figures on the beach in the foreground. During the visit of the Queen and Prince Albert to the West Coast of Scotland in 1847, the royal party lunched at Inveraray on 18 August with the 8th Duke and Duchess of Argyll.
