Stirling Castle

-
A watercolour of an exterior view of the castle, drawn from nearly the same point as RCIN 919670 and 919671. A woman wearing a red skirt carries a basket in the foreground. Although mounted in the Queen's first album, this drawing may not necessarily date from as early as 1839-43.
Provenance
From Queen Victoria's Souvenir Album, volume I; probably folio 34, listed as an unidentified castle. It may have been acquired by the Queen when the artist was giving her lessons.
