A pen and watercolour drawing of Windsor Castle, showing Castle Hill. A cavalry parade riding away towards the Long Walk. A group of people on the right, with dogs.
The drawing shows the edge of the Queen's Lodge on the right hand side, and the road leading from Windsor to Datchet, later closed off. Samuel Howitt was a painter of animals, landscapes and topography and made several drawings of the Windsor estate.Provenance
