This drawing is one of five sheets that were originally intended as pages to be interleaved into an extra-illustrated copy of Thomas Pennant's History of London, first published in 1790, with a later edition in 1814. The others are RCINs 917125-917129. A copy of Pennant's book, with extra-illustrations by the Sandby brothers added to it, is in the British Museum (Crowle Pennant).Provenance
