A drawing of the lower-centre-left portion of Michelangelo's Last Judgement, traced through onto the reverse of section H of Giorgio Ghisi's engraving of the whole mural (mid-1540s; Bartsch 25, second state; see an impression of the whole at RCIN 831226), with the drawn figures seen as if from the other side of the wall.
The drawing is one of ten such imaginatively altered tracings (RCINs 916722-31) from portions of Ghisi's engraving. See 916722 for a fuller discussion.

Listed in George III’s Inventory A, c.1800, p. 46, ‘Mich: Angelo Buonaroti’, Vol. 2, ‘25. to 35. Are singular Drawings by some Able Master, on the Backs of the several parts of the large Print from the last Judgement, the figures appear revers'd.’
