-
A drawing showing a stretch of the River Boyne, probably viewed from the north, near Oldbridge; with bodies of men and horses fording the river; to the left of centre on the skyline, is a hill with a tower on its summit. This drawing formed the basis for a painting, dated 1690, commissioned by the 1st Earl of Portland (private collection). It may also have served as a study for a large engraving by Maas (Hollstein, XI, p. 151, no. 15).
Provenance
Probably in the Royal Collection by c.1810
