-
A pen and grey wash drawing after a print of John Howson, Bishop of Durham, in clerical robes, bearded. Signed: GPH. 1800.
George Perfect Harding was a copyist, mainly of historical paintings and portrait prints, and was instrumental in founding the Granger Society in 1840. This drawing was made as a copy of a print of Howson after a painting at Christ Church, Oxford. The drawing was possibly intended to be grangerised into a volume. -
