A black chalk and bodycolour drawing of a woodland landscape with a body of water in the foreground. Signed. This watercolour was given as a gift to Queen Victoria by François d'Orléans, Prince de Joinville. The Prince, who was an enthusiastic and skilled amateur artist, appears to have given Queen Victoria one drawing a year up until his death in 1900. The works were either inserted into an album or hung at Osborne.
