Description

A cartoon for the tapestry of The Healing of the Lame Man for the Sistine Chapel. In a temple with Solomonic columns, Sts Peter and John heal a lame man seated on the ground, at the centre. Onlookers stand on either side.

Purchased by Charles I (when Prince of Wales), 1623; on loan to the Victoria and Albert Museum since 1865
