A drawing of the church at Someren; before it, in the foreground, is a funeral procession passing in front of a brick wall. Inscribed on the gateway arch: A 1736. Verso inscribed (according to the V.R. Inventory): Kerk t'Somere, een Dorp in de Meijerie van s'Hertogbs: 1738. Signed and dated on the left side of the small belfry to the left of centre: JDB [in monogram] ad viv: del. / 1740.
Provenance
Probably in the Royal Collection by c.1810; transferred from Buckingham Palace in 1950 (V.R. Inventory no. 880)
