Recto: a drawing of an eyeless profile, facing right, with a geometrical figure above the bridge of the nose, perhaps a diagram on the action of the eye. Verso: the same profile traced through, and another, cut away below the eye, beside it. This is a fragment from the Codex Atlanticus, folio 243 verso-a, recto-a.
