A pen and ink and grey wash drawing of a saint in front of a crucifix, with a heavenly dove. A preparatory study for a painting of St Romualdus (c. 951-1027) formerly in the church of the Camaldolese, Turin. The painting disappeared by 1835 and is known through an engraving published in Venice by J. Wagner.
