Sebastiano Ricci (Belluno 1659-Venice 1734)
A study for Tobit's wife c. 1728
-
A pen and ink and wash drawing of a standing female figure. The drawing is similar in style and treatment to RCIN 907118, and is placed to it in Smith's album, so it is probably also a study for Ricci's painting of Tobias restoring his father's sight, one of a set of four overdoors in the Sala dell' Alcova in the Palazzo Reale, Turin. Other drawings for the same painting are RCINs 907118 and 907120.
