A pen and ink and wash drawing of the figure of Nathan, standing and pointing to the left. With the left corner of the sheet made up, and inscribed on the verso: No. 84 JS. Ricci painted David rebuked by Nathan for the Sala dell'Alcova in the Palazzo Reale, Turin in 1728. An oil study of the painting was at the Heim Gallery, London in 1969 (Daniels, no. 192). There are 16 drawings relating to the composition in the Windsor album (RCINs 907053-907068).
