A black chalk and pen and ink drawing of the drunken Silenus supported by satyrs, with a donkey's head on the right. Inscribed on the verso: No. 51 JS.The drawing is a preparatory study for a painting of the Drunken Silenus brought before King Midas, for which an oil modello sold at Christie's, 6 July 2012, lot 184.
