A drawing of a ruined city, with Scipio, emerging from a tent on the right, giving orders for the destruction of Carthage; on the left soldiers, amid broken pieces of architecture, carry out pillage and destruction. In the background is a port with numerous people on t he quay and a view of the sea and two ships. The scene is surrounded by decorative borders with columns and architectural spolia. There is an empty cartouche above. Inscribed in the upper border: Cornelius Scipio Aemilianus, Carthaginem fonditus deleuit. With RCIN 906863 and 906864, this is proably a design for a series of tapestries.
