-
A drawing of a classical vaulted hall in which Titus Quinctius Flaminius is seated on a throne beneath a baldacchino. He hands a document inscribed Libertas to one of the Elders of Greece, who are ranged at either side. A scribe is seated at a desk in the centre foreground. The scene is surrounded by decorative borders with laurel branches, and an empty catouche above, as in RCIN 906853. Inscribed in the upper border: Titus Quintius Flamius, Philippo Rege Macedonibusque / Deuietis, Libertatem Graecie redidit: and at the top is an inscription in another contemporary hand: 28 / vorrei che fusse piu copiosa di figure / et mostrasse l'a[l]legre[zz]a de l[i]b[eratori]. With RCIN 906867, 906868, this is probably a design for a series of tapestries illustrating the history of Rome.
