A drawing of a group of figures, including allegories of Justice and Religion (?) surrounding a podium upon which Ferdinand stands as he is crowned by a putto. Inscribed: Fabrizio Chiari. This composition is known from an engraving by C. Bloemart, dated 1648, and dedicated to the King by Frederick Alexander Kotulin.
Provenance
Probably acquired by George III in 1762 as part of the collection of Cardinal Alessandro Albani; first recorded in a Royal Collection inventory of c.1810 (Inv. A, p. 128: 'Guglielmo Burgognone a Cotempory of Carlo Maratti. Baccicia. Baldi. and others of inferior note')
