A drawing of a woman standing on the head of a dragon, while lambs play around her. This scene is framed by furls of drapery drawn aside by winged putti.
Provenance
Probably acquired by George III in 1762 as part of the collection of Cardinal Alessandro Albani: first recorded in a Royal Collection inventory of c.1810 (Inv. A, p. 128: among 'Eight small Drawings of a good Scholar of P: da Cortona. Six Drawings of Palma, misplac'd in this Collection. The last Drawing but one is of Mola. all the rest are of Inferior Professors')
