A drawing of the Adoration, with the Child in a manger near the centre, and the Virgin in attendance; Joseph and the shepherds are gathered around. Inscribed, lower right: Gio. Bonatti; this was probably added at a later date.
Provenance
The Luti collection; probably acquired by George III in 1762 as part of the collection of Cardinal Alessandro Albani: first recorded in a Royal Collection inventory of c.1810 (Inv. A, p. 128: among 'Eight small Drawings of a good Scholar of P: da Cortona. Six Drawings of Palma, misplac'd in this Collection. The last Drawing but one is of Mola. all the rest are of Inferior Professors')
