A drawing copying the bust of Europa in a painting of The Abduction of Europa, in Sans Souci, Potsdam. The painting has been attributed to Guido Reni, or to a student of his; S. Pepper (Guido Reni, 1984, p. 285) attributed the painting to Francesco Gessi, c.1620.
The drawing is in the academic style of the eighteenth century; in George III's Inventory A it was listed with a group of drawings attributed to Pompeo Batoni and Stefano Pozzo, and it is plausibly by the latter, en suite with 906727 and 906730.Provenance
