A drawing of a scene of activity before a clasical structure: the Virgin moves towards the right holding the Christ Child whilst looking at a kneeling figure in the foreground; to the right the high priest bows, flanked by elderly men. RCIN 906706, 906707 and 906709 are stylistically coherent, and address the theme of truth triumphant over deceit which was represented allegorically by Gherardi in his decoration of the Palazzo Nari, Rome.
