A drawing of a scene in a town square; a man surrounded by soldiers stands with a friar holding a crucifix beside a straw hut, in which he is to be burnt. This drawing was engraved in reverse for the first illustrated edtion prepared by Jan Gysius, of Adam Haemstede, Historie der Martelaren, published in Dordrecht, 1657. (RL 6538-6551 are either the preparatory drawings or presumably rejected designs for this publication.)
