A design for an altarpiece with an arched top. The Virgin enthroned, the Christ Child reaching for the book held by Saint Jerome, his lion at his feet; to the right, St George; behind, a bishop and a bearded saint, possibly St. Anthony. From an album of drawings attributed tp Elisabetta Sirani; Popham (in P&W) recognised Palma's authorship.
