-
A drawing of Christ and the apostles seated at a square table; Judas, at the front, turns his head away from Christ. The surrounding border contains, at the top, the chalice flanked by the lamb of God, and at the sides and bottom, allegories of Faith, Hope and Charity, separated by grapes and a sheath of corn, both emblems of the Eucharist. This is the preparatory drawing for the engraving in reverse by Anthoine Wierix, which is part of a series of the Passion of Christ.
