A study of a curtain for The Madonna of the Tower, in the collection of the Marquis of Exeter, Burghley House, Northamptonshire. The drawing has been squared for enlargement, and agrees with the curtain in the painting, except for the loop on the left. Sassoferrato's painting is a variant of Raphael's painting of that name.
