The Madonna and Child c. 1632-7
-
A drawing of the Madonna seated within a niche, with the Christ Child held standing in her lap. Below this group, which has been squared for enlargement, are additional studies of the Madonna's head and right hand. This is a composition study for The Madonna of the Lilies, which was probably commissioned from the artist for the Church of S Pietro, Perugia, between 1632 and 1637.
