A drawing of a group of figures with Martin on horseback dividing his cloak with his sword whilst the beggar reaches up from the ground at the horse's feet. A bishop and St James, who is copied from Marcantonio's engraving after Raphael, stand to the left of the horse. The drawing has been squared, perhaps for an engraving.
