A drawing of a wooded landscape in which a man is driving a donkey beneath a tree. There is a fortified building on a promontory in the middle distance, and in the far distance, on the left, is a town.
Provenance
Probably acquired by George III in 1762 as part of the collection of Cardinal Alessandro Albani; first recorded in a Royal Collection inventory of c.1800-1820 (Inventory A, p. 119, 'Paesi Diversi.', nos. 34-40: 'Of the Roman and Lombard School')
