A design for the memorial to the General of the Church, Carlo Barberini, sited at the entrance wall of Santa Maria in Aracoeli, Rome: an oval dome is supported by columns between which stand allegorical figures. There is a scale at the bottom. See also RCIN 905612.

Probably acquired by George III in 1762 as part of the collection of Cardinal Alessandro Albani; first recorded in a Royal Collection inventory of c.1810 (Inv. A, p. 114: 'Two for Funeral Obsequies or Catafalcas')
