Circular strut frame of red gold with pale blue sunburst guilloché enamel, mounts of foliate and floral swags and garlands, pierced ribbon cresting. The bezel bordered by half- pearls with inset photograph of King George V.
The photograph of King George V is by Downey and dates from 1911. It shows the King wearing the uniform of Admiral of the Fleet and a greatcoat, and wearing the Order of the Garter. Like most of Fabergé’s frames, the back is fitted with a panel of ivory and a gold strut. The frame formed part of Queen Mary’s collection.
