A drawing of two angels, facing each other in profile and holding a monstrance between them, only the base of which is in view. Connected with Bernini's design for angels carrying a monstrance in the Museum of Fine Arts, Leipzig.

Probably acquired by George III in 1762 as part of the collection of Cardinal Alessandro Albani; first recorded in a Royal Collection inventory of c.1810 (Inv. A, p. 114: (?)'The Study's of Angels for the Ciborio in the Chapel of the Sacrament at St. Peters Rome')
