Antique ships in a storm c.1500-1600
-
A drawing of Antique ships in a storm - perhaps a fragment of a larger composition. Popham suggested that the original design might be due to Francesco Salviati, and that the subject might be the storm overtaking Ulysses (Odysseus), or that described in the Aeneid.
