A drawing of the veiled head of St Elizabeth, turned half to the right and with her gaze directed upwards. This is a study for the painting of The Birth of St John the Baptist in the Church of S. Paolo Maggiore, Bologna. Verso: the head of a monk, bald, turned half to the right.
