A drawing of an elderly bearded man, naked to the waist but with drapery about his midriff and legs. Seated, he leans on his left elbow with his head in his hand as he gazes upwards. In a feigned oval; the corners of the sheet are patched.
RCIN 905211-905214 are by an early seventeenth-century admirer of the late manner of Titian.Provenance
Probably acquired in 1762 by George III from the collection of Joseph Smith, British Consul in Venice
