The Presentation of the Virgin c.1575-1600
-
A drawing of the Presentation of the Virgin, set in a classical Temple. Inscribed at lower centre by the 'Deceptive Hand', "Cavalier Pasignano". P. Pouncey (recorded in P&W) attributed the drawing to Boscoli; F. Antal (review of P&W, Burlington Magazine, 1951, p. 32) attributed it to Zucchi; J. Brooks (orally)thinks definitely not Boscoli, more Zuccharesque, and maybe worth reconsidering the old attribution to Passignano.
