Lodovico Cardi, il Cigoli (1559-1613)
A serving woman c.1590-1600
-
A woman turned to the left, holding a tray. The technique is typical of Cigoli and the drawing is presumably a study for a servant in a feast scene; similar figures appear in several paintings by Cigoli (cf. RCIN 905190), but no figure has been identified for which this might be a direct study.
