After Correggio (Antonio Allegri, c. 1489-1534)
The head of a youth c.1575-1600
-
A drawing of the head of a youth. Popham (in P&W) thought it might be copied from one of the child angels in Correggio's fresco of the Assumption of the Virgin, in the dome of Parma Cathedral.
T. Gerszi (correspondence, 1992) suggested the drawing might be by Bartholomeus Spranger, a copy after a lost drawing by Correggio. -
