Girolamo da Carpi (1501-56)
Men and women in front of a cloth c.1525-50
-
A drawing of the left part of a composition, with men and women, standing, kneeling and seated, gathered in attendance on an object or event off to the right. Popham (in P&W) noted that the composition is reminiscent of the Worshippers of Latona by Polidoro da Caravaggio on the facade of the Palazzo Milesi, parts of which Girolamo copied.
