A drawing of a gathering of figures in a classical temple (in Jerusalem), with St Peter and other apostles behind him on the left, and Simon Magus with a priest and various onlookers behind him, on the right; more spectators are gathered on either side of the foreground. Through the arcade in the centre, is a distant view of a classical building. There is an inscription, possibly a signature, with a date, lower right. This was used as a preparatory drawing for the engraving, in reverse, by Adam Collaert in a series of seven subjects of the Seven Gifts of the Holy Ghost.
