A drawing of Isaac standing full length in a hilly landscape; his left arm is raised and his right hand rests on his breast; in the lower right is a toad, with a ram and a stag in the left middleground. This may represent Isaac living in the Valley of Gerar; inscribed below: . ISAAC . This drawing is from a series of thirty four scenes from the Old Testament which, with the exception of RCIN 904742, served as preparatory drawings for 33 of the 39 engravings in reverse by Johannes Sadeler the Elder (Hollstein , XXI, pp.96-7, nos.72-110), designed to illustrate L.Hillesemius, Sacrarum Antiquitatum (Antwerp, 1577).
