A chalk drawing of a Franciscan friar and a musician. This is one of a set of six drawings in the Royal Collection which appear to come from the same sketchbook. Some of the drawings in the series can be connected with etchings by Callot, and the group was probably made in Florence in around 1617-19. Another three drawings apparently from the same sketchbook are in the Courtauld Gallery.
