A drawing of the Virgin Mary supported amongst clouds by winged putti. More putti appear from the clouds about her head. This was formerly placed within the Cortona volumes.
Provenance
Probably acquired by George III in 1762 as part of the collection of Cardinal Alessandro Albani: first recorded in a Royal Collection inventory of c.1810 (Inv. A, p. 111: as amongst drawings by Pietro da Cortona and Ciro Ferri, 'V :M: in Glory')
